John P. Hageman’s education is in physics, nuclear plant operations and health physics (the science of radiation protection). His education and work both involve analyzing and applying information contained in scientific and highly technical documents. He was raised a Catholic and became a Methodist. He decided to analyze the Bible and focused on major differences in religious concepts, like being saved by faith alone or by works.
After reading James, light began to fill the darkness; and this is where God’s absolute truth can be found. This book is his way of wanting the whole world to know this truth. The last two verses of James 5, 19-20, tell how he hopes to do this. “My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins.” (NIV)
