Each one of our thoughts can be a prayer to God, since God knows our every thought. We all hope that He will answer all of our prayers quickly and positively. Such as prayers for better health, healing of a loved one, money to buy food to eat or clothing to wear.
God does answer each and every prayer that we ask of Him. But often, God’s answer to our prayer may be no or later. God’s answers of no are still His perfect answers, even if we don’t understand or like His negative responses. I am sure you have seen it many times when a true believer in Christ has prayed for a miracle and it just didn’t happen.
God always hears our prayers; but in His infinite knowledge HE doesn’t answer our prayers the way we think He should answer. We must never be angry with God when He doesn’t give us the answer we wanted to our prayers. There is one prayer that God will always answer with a yes, which is your sincere prayer for heavenly wisdom.
Also, James, in his first chapter, gives us the answer to the question” Why doesn’t God give me all that I pray for? Why must I continue to suffer the trials of the living out each day on earth?

2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, Who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do. 9 Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position. 10 But the rich should take pride in their humiliation—since they will pass away like a wild flower. 11 For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich will fade away even while they go about their business. 12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
The prayers for God given wisdom will come with time; and more wisdom will come later, because we can never be infinitely wise, but always wiser. With God-given heavenly wisdom, you will begin to understand why God may say no or later to some of your prayers and why trails in your life make you a better person.
